Have Fun Shopping While Supporting Our Spay/Neuter Mission!

In 2016, the Hill Country Animal League thrift store in Boerne celebrated its 30 Year anniversary! In the beginning, our affordable spay/neuter mission was carried out by issuing vouchers, and local area veterinarians performed the surgeries. By 2006, the need grew so great we opened our very own Spay/Neuter Clinic on the north end of Boerne. Today, the clinic performs almost 8,000 surgeries per year!

Thanks to donors like you, our Thrift Store is packed full of useful items like clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, household items, gifts, furniture, appliances and much more. The sale of these items fund almost 2/3 of our annual operations budget!

Visit Our Thrift Store to Re-Use, Re-Furbish, Re-Purpose! Many items that we sell can be “re-made” into fun, new, and useful items around your home, landscape, or even your office. For the month of March, we will be posting exciting and creative ideas from Pintrest. Also, donating and purchasing our lightly used (and sometimes brand new!) clothing reduces the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills each year! We’ll be posting articles about this as well.

Our dedicated thrift store staff and volunteers sort, research, price, and shelve thousands of items each month. Seasonal items are stored and then highlighted periodically, so you can do all your holiday shopping for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. We even put up a special display for Rodeo time!

Our Thrift Store is open for shopping and donation drop off Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am-3pm. And… if you have large items like furniture or appliances to donate, we offer a free pick-up service! Call the Thrift Store at 830-249-8040 to schedule a pick-up.
