Thank You for Making 2024 a Year of Impact!
As we approach the New Year, all of us at Hill Country Animal League (HCAL) want to say thank you and express our deepest gratitude to each of you—our dedicated customers, compassionate donors, and committed volunteers. Because of your generosity and belief in our mission, in 2024, we were able to make a tremendous difference in the lives of pets and their families across Texas.
2024: A Year of Milestones
This year, with your support, HCAL provided 7,473 spay and neuter surgeries and cared for 899 animals through our Wellness program. Every one of those numbers represents a life changed for the better—a pet who won’t contribute to overpopulation, a family who can keep their beloved companion healthy, and a community where responsible pet ownership is within reach for everyone.
And it’s not just Boerne that’s felt your impact! Families came to us from Austin, San Marcos, and beyond, often traveling miles to receive the affordable and compassionate care they know they can count on from HCAL. Your support has helped us become a trusted resource across the region, spreading our mission of accessible care far and wide.
The Heart of HCAL: Our Thrift Store and Volunteers
HCAL’s work would not be possible without the vital support from our thrift store, which generates critical funding to keep our clinic’s doors open. Every time you shop, donate items, or tell a friend about the thrift store, you are making an impact. And for our amazing volunteers—thank you! Your countless hours help our operations run smoothly, making a real difference in the lives of animals in need. This year, we’ve been able to do so much, thanks to you, and we’re thrilled to offer our volunteers a 50% discount as a small way to show our appreciation.
Looking Ahead to 2025: Exciting Goals and New Possibilities
As we look toward 2025, we have big plans that we can’t wait to share with you. Our short-term goal is to strengthen our presence in Boerne, making HCAL’s connection between the thrift store and clinic clearer than ever. We want our community to understand that every donation and purchase directly funds affordable pet care for families in need.
Our vision for the future is even bigger!
We’re dreaming of expanding our facility so we can serve even more pets, providing more spay and neuter surgeries and continuing to be a resource for families throughout Texas. This growth would allow us to make an even larger impact—but we need your continued support to make this dream a reality.
How You Can Help Us Keep Growing
As we wrap up this incredible year, we’re inviting you to stay involved and make 2025 another year of compassion and impact:
- Become a monthly donor. Recurring donations give us the stability we need to focus on what we do best—providing affordable, high-quality care to pets. Even a small monthly donation can have a big impact.
- Continue shopping and donating at our thrift store. Every purchase supports our mission and helps us spread the word about HCAL’s work.
- Volunteer with us. Your time and talents make a world of difference, and we’d love for you to join our community of amazing volunteers.
Thank You for Being Part of the HCAL Family
2024 has shown us the incredible things we can accomplish together, and we’re more motivated than ever to continue this journey with you in 2025. Whether you’re a donor, customer, or volunteer, you are an essential part of the HCAL family, and we couldn’t do this without you.
Thank you for believing in our mission and supporting us in making a difference. With your continued support, we’re excited to grow, serve, and create an even greater impact in the year ahead. Here’s to a bright 2025—together!
With gratitude,
The Team at Hill Country Animal League (HCAL)
